Well I think more play is the order as the practise is coming along, but i need to take it to the course-or at least the driving range to see exactly what practise looks like.
I can use my simulator as much as i like, but its still not the real thing.
I got to play a few times over the late summer/autumn and although things are looking better there is still a lack of consistancy and loosing the head with some bad shots/ some good shots and putts just rolling over the lip.
Those ones really piss me off-would be nice to be putting in for par for a change.
Practise! and more playing.
Hopefully get a game in on a saturday coming soon.

Darrell Klassen-Golf DVD Guru (part 2)
I picked out a couple of dvd's from Zac and Darrell for my Christmas gifts and have been watching and practising his instructions and finding them very helpful.
Cure your slice really works and seems to have introduced a draw to my drive and keeping my short shots fairly straight, so I am hoping to take these refinements to the course soon.
Darrells tips on how you use your grip and club face to control the ball are also very helpful and having modified my grip i can feel it changing to a more left-hand orientated style which gives you more draw/less slice to your shots.
Should be interesting- will keep you posted on my progress.

Working on my golf.
MY GOLF SUCCESS is now depending upon me working at the areas of my golf that need help.
...and that, like most people is my short game. Thats chipping, pitching, sand play and around green play.
I have been practising my short chips and lob type shots, in my backyard- I have about 15 mto play with or I use my net and i can hit it as hard as i like. I am trying for accuracy and height with short and long shots to get some consistancy.
I will also be joining a social golf club so I can play weekly or fortnightly on a Saturday morning-it is very hot at the moment so I may wait till it cools down a bit.
Meanwhile I will just have to play "SHED GOLF" as my mate calls it on the P3pro.

My Skycaddie SG5
After much anticipation and watching the post, my Skycaddie GPS finally arrived.
I set to work setting up my profile-it must be easy if I could do it- and in no time at all, I had selected and downloaded the local courses I wanted.
I was then able to play with the demo mode and preview the course information and get used to the various controls and features of my unit. So simple and easy to read, I could not wait to take it to the course.
I finally got the chance to play golf(only 9 holes) at Glen Iris in Jandakot, on Saturday 20th.
I turned it on to find satellites which worked straight away, and we walked to the tenth.
We checked my unit which gave the same distance reading as the distance posted. As we played the course we used the distances indicated on the gps to select our shots, and found it extremely accurate and easy to use. On a par 3, 131m I selected a seven iron and hit it pin high and 2m out, based on the distance, and 2 putted on slow greens.
It workrd great and i definitely lowered my score -first time out, and would have been better-except for slow greens.
I kept forggetting to mark my shots to check my distances, next time I can tell you how far I am driving the ball!

Darrell Klassen-Golf DVD Guru
Darrell"s ways of teaching are straight forward and easy to understand, even I can master them, and each time you watch them you learn some thing new. You will find his short game and putting videos are also great value, as we all need help, and his short game tips are the best there is. look him up,you'll kick yourself if you don't!!
I found Darrell"s golf instruction DVD "5 Easy lessons" and "Power Point Golf" through www.ausgolfdirect.com.au and have watched many of his others on www.youtube.com.

Skycaddie GPS SG5
After much research I have finally decided that the Skygolf Skycaddie SG5 is the gps unit for me. I have just ordered mine and can use it as a demo unit so the price was even better. Yipee.
Now all I have to do is wait by the mail box for it to arrive.
I will probably be out here till wednesday so i hope it doesn't rain.
Then I will set it up and load my courses I want, and hopefully test it out next weekend.
Hopefully my golfing mates will be jealous!!!
If you don't know what it looks like... thats it on the right, and on the bottom of my blog.
Hope your jealous too!...
If you have golf gps, I would love it if you posted a comment about you experience with any of them -please !!

Hi Everyone,
Well I have finally got around to working on my Blog.
It has been a long time since I brought my P3Pro golf analyser and I have had limited time to use it, and my attempts to promote and sell it have not been very productive.
Shortly, I will do a demo video of me using it in my shed.
This is where I normally have it set up, and although it is not that cold in Perth, I only get a chance to use it on the weekends of nights.
I also find the stand alone net (with a built in screen) is great to use on the lawn.
You can use it for both driving and chipping practise especially before going to play golf.
